They have one in Warrington, Matlock Bath and Milton Keynes.
We've been to the one at Warrington many times, both by car and public
transport. There is a bus which goes very close, or you could get a taxi
I spose!
They've got loads of great rides and attractions and once you're in all
the rides are free (There are a couple of remote control motor boats
which requires cash but thats it!)
They have a huge slide to go down, a cycle monorail which is up in the
air, so if you're fit and into cycling you can have a great view!
They have some water rides too - their log flume is great fun! They also
have a boat ride - yellow round boats. Last time we went we had to go
in the ghost house twice!
They've got dodgems too and some roller coasters. For the small kids
they've got some great little fiarground rides, horses and ladybirds,
and a very gentile wheel! They've got a ball pit too.
All through the park are places to sit and picnic and cafes to buy drinks,
food and icecreams from. The park has a lovely lake in it with ducks
to feed!
One of the best bits was the fort! This is a superb wooden fortress which
the kids can climb all over. It has cargo nets, and walkways! Great fun!
Plus there are benches for worn out mums to sit on in the shade! There's
a mini train ride in this bit too!
All in all we think Gullivers is a great day out and can highly recommend
it to anyone with kids!
There are bound to be great beaches near you, so as soon as the weather
is warm enough (and for some of you that does just mean no snow!) then
get packed up and head off to the beach!
Pack plenty of towels, a change of clothes for everyone (and more sets
the smaller they are), dry soons, - get everyone some sandals for the
beach or flipflops!
Take a picnic - use a big chiller bag (or two if possible), wrap food
separately - so if you open one lot of sandwiches and they get sandy
you'll still have some others! Put in plenty of drinks - lots of nice
beaches don't have cafes! - put in water and juice and a flask of coffee.
Pack a huge blanket or beach rug to sit on, windbreak or brollys.
Take plenty of sun creams too and reapply as necessary! Remember sun
hats too!
Take some wet wipes for clearing the kids up!
Take games to play on the beach, football or frisby, or rounders even!
Don't take sand coloured balls!
